Our host, Lucia, from the Sierra Norte is heading down the mountain to receive you in Tlayudona for this conveniently-located “Miércoles de Manualidades” (Craft Wednesday) basket-weaving experience.
She will bring all of the materials you need to weave a small basket, earrings, or a coaster out of “sarcina”, or the pine needles that are used for weaving in the Sierra Norte.
Enjoy working in an intimate setting and learning this unique local craft, while creating the perfect (and easily-packable) souvenir to bring home and remember your stay in Oaxaca.
