Capture the magic of Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Oaxaca with this unforgettable photoshoot experience in stunning rural locations just outside the city. Whether you’re visiting during this sacred season or want to commemorate your time in Oaxaca with unique, meaningful images, this experience is designed to blend culture, art, and storytelling into one powerful memory.
Led by Adiv, a professional Oaxacan photographer and longtime Tlayudona collaborator, this shoot will take you to one or more breathtaking local sites—such as marigold flower fields, “flores de muerto” landscapes, or historic adobe ruins—all carefully selected for their visual and cultural significance.
You’ll also be welcomed by our trusted local hosts, Claudia and Roberto, who will guide you through these locations in their community with full permission and insight.For a truly iconic look, you can also opt for professional Day of the Dead face painting, done by a talented local artist at Tlayudona before your session. To take advantage of golden lighting, shoots are scheduled at sunrise or sunset.
