Folkloric Basket or Hat Painting with Azu

Azucena will guide you through the techniques of choosing colors and designs that are emblematic of Oaxaca. Let your creativity soar, and enjoy our relaxing environment in Tlayudona with a coffee or mezcal as you explore your inner artist during this basket painting experience.
Azucena is a local artist from Oaxaca whose art is inspired by her traditions and culture. She recently studied her BA in Visual Arts with a special emphasis on Graphic Arts. She currently works as an art teacher, primarily with children and teenagers. She believes that we were born to create, and is excited to share that creativity with you.
This experience includes:
- Your basket or hat
- Paints, smocks, and all materials necessary to create your piece
- Instruction with our local artist, Azucena
- Spanish-to-English translation (for two or more participants)
- Artisan mezcal from Tlayudona´s producers and/or local specialty coffee from Cafébre
Minimum: 1 person (with no translation available) or 2 people (if/when Spanish-to-English translation is required)
