Afternoon Day of the Dead Photo Shoot (Professional Face Painting Included)
Commemorate your time in Oaxaca with this one of kind opportunity to capture the Day of the Dead season in images. We will take you from Tlayudona to one or more nearby sites that will make for the best scenic shoot. These sites can include fields of “flores de muerto” (small yellow flowers often used locally on altars instead of the more internationally-recognizable marigolds), marigold fields, or abandoned adobe haciendas. All of the sites are within an hour of the city center.
Our professional local photographer, Adiv, is a close friend of ours here at Tlayudona and he will help you feel comfortable. You can check out some of his work here!
Out in the campo, you´ll meet our local hosts, Claudia and/or her partner Roberto, who will accompany you to their village’s sites (with permission of their community of course)!
Our local professional face painter will meet you here at Tlayudona prior to your photoshoot. In order to take advantage of the best lighting, we are hosting this experience early in the mornings or late in the afternoons. Facepainting takes approximately an hour per person. You can purchase the photo shoot WITHOUT face painting here!
The cost of this experience (with face painting) includes:
- Round-trip transportation from/to Tlayudona in the city center (or you can talk to us about picking you up from your central location).
- Professional quality face painting at Tlayudona (which requires approximately an hour per person)
- Professional photo shoot at one or more locations that lend themselves to amazing Day of the Dead photos
- Your contribution to our local hosts and their community
Cost of photoshoot with face painting: 4,200 MXN per person. You can purchase the photo shoot WITHOUT face painting here!
Facepainting will begin one hour prior to departure, at Tlayudona in the city center.
